What will Anna make with the unusual ingredients she bought? アナは友達を招待しているディナーの材料を間違って買ってきました。あと30分で招待客がやってきます。一体彼女は買ってきた朝食用の材料で何を作るのでしょうか？
次は Lesson 37 : 意見の違いを認めよう！ Let’s agree to disagree! のあらすじです。Anna meets a new friend. Phil is new to Washington, D.C. and he feels lost in the city. Anna asks him to make the city a friendlier place. アナは新しくワシントンにやってきた友達フィルに出会います。彼は都会に少し落ち込んでいます。アナは彼にもう少し都会を親しみやすい所にしてやりたいと思います。
① I am from the country and sometimes I miss it. 私は田舎から出てきたので時々田舎が懐かしくなる。 * miss は「〇〇がなくて寂しい、〇〇が懐かしい」という動詞です。

③ I feel a little lost. 少し自分を見失っている→途方にくれた！→少し落ち込んでいるんだ。 * lost は形容詞ですがどのように訳してもいいのです。

さて Lesson 35 : 夕食を作ろう！ Let’s make dinner のあらすじです。Anna and Marsha are planning a dinner party. But Anna comes home from the store with some unusual foods for dinner. アナとマァシャはディナーパーティを計画中。アナが買い物担当ですが、おかしな材料をどっさりと買ってきました。英語に特有な食べ物の数え方も覚えましょう。
① a bunch of bananas ：バナナ一房 *バナナとは a long curved fruit with a thick peel that is yellow when it is ripe 厚い皮で覆われた長くて曲がった果物で熟すと黄色い。
