① 最初の Four score and seven years ago の score は 20 のことですので four score は 80 年、つまりこの演説の 87年前、1776年の独立から数えて87年目が 1863 年ということです。
② Four scoreand seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. は「87 年前、我々の先人たちはこの大陸に自由に溢れすべての人々が平等に扱われる一つの新しい国を作り出しました」となります。
③ 結びの Government of the people, by the people, for the people「人民の人民による人民のための政治」のところだけご存知の方が大半だと思いますが、そのあとに shall not perish from the earth と続きます。「この地球上からなくなることはない」となります。
