Shohei on his way to second! He’s got himself a double! Home run and the double! So he’s halfway to the cycle.

3 三打席目の三塁打
This one into the right-field corner,  he’s going to try to third. So he can get a triple out of it. Almost to the cycle.

4 最後のヒット
To right-center field! There’s a base hit and Shohei Otani has just hit for the cycle. First Japanese born player to hit for the cycle Shohei Otani. A time in Angels history and the first Strout did it May 21st of 2013.

(記者の質問) Of all things you’ve done, consider you become the first Japanese player to hit for the cycle here in the US. What does that mean to you and to your country?

(大谷の回答) I’m really proud of the fact. I mean there’s been a lot of great players from Japan that I came before me. And they weren’t able to acomplish it. And I did so, I’m very proud of that fact. And hopefully I could do much better stuff through the season. (通訳の回答です)
